Initially ruled out indefinitely a fortnight ago, Harris opted for surgery this week after dealing with the wrist issue since early in the season.
His injury comes as a major blow to the Warriors, who are stuck in 12th and facing a battle to make the NRL finals.
The Warriors have one of the friendliest runs home of all teams in finals contention, with their next three games against fellow bottom-seven sides and a bye still to come.
But there are serious question marks over whether they can turn their form around.
They have lost three of their past four matches, and have struggled to regain last year's momentum for the majority of this season.
Out-of-form halfback Shaun Johnson (achilles) will miss Friday's clash with Canberra, while fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (calf) also remains in doubt.
