A tiara that was allegedly stolen from the headstone of a toddler's grave has been returned after a search was launched by the child's heartbroken mother.

Lorraine Conway, mum of three-year-old Brittney, who died after swallowing a button battery in 2020, said "low-life" thieves had stolen the tiara from her daughter's grave in Mudgeeraba Cemetery on June 27.
The heartbroken mother said after discovering the theft: "We will get you a new one but this one was sat on her final bed before we laid her to rest".
Members of the Gold Coast community were outraged by the alleged theft after Ms Conway's original post calling for the tiara to be returned.
A local business, Faded Ink Tattoo and Barber Shop in Yarrabilba, offered a hefty reward for the tiara's return.
"We are offering a $1000 reward for the return of Brittney's tiara, no questions [asked] we just want it returned back to were it belongs," the business said on its Facebook page.
On July 9 Ms Conway announced that the tiara was mysteriously returned to the grave's lock box with no indication of who took the treasured item.
"Thank [you] everyone," Ms Conway said.
"Brittneys Tiara was returned back in her lock box, we found it last night."
She said she was "so, so happy" it had been returned.
