A Tasmanian man has been charged with killing an Australian fur seal, along with firearms and burglary offences.

The 23-year-old Campania man was arrested in June after police discovered a cache of illegal weapons and stolen property at a private residence.
Police allege the man also shot and killed a protected Australian fur seal near Richmond.
"Police executed a search warrant at a private residence early last month and located various illegal firearms and stolen property," Tasmania Police said in a statement.
The man faced Hobart Magistrates Court and has been bailed by the court to appear again on August 2.
