The hardware chain increased the cost of canned drinks and bottled water from $1.50 to $2 "in response to feedback from community groups".
The change was made on February 1 while the price of a sausage in bread, with or without onion, was unchanged at $3.50.
Bunnings director of store operations Ben Camire said the price rise supported community groups to "maximise their fundraising efforts".

"This change was made in direct response to feedback from our community groups that the rising costs of goods is making it difficult to raise funds," he said.
"We are committed to providing meaningful support to the communities in which we operate and we hope this change will make a big difference."
In 2022 the price of a sausage in bread increased for the first time in 15 years from $2.50 to $3.50.
All funds raised through the Bunnings sausage sizzles go to the local community groups or charities that run the weekend barbecues.
The equipment used in the sausage sizzles including the marquee, mobile payment facility and gas bottle are provided by the hardware store.
