Triple Eight young gun Broc Feeney has thrown down the gauntlet to his Supercars rivals and will start at the top of the grid for the final race of the Bathurst 500.

Chaz Mostert blitzed Mount Panorama with a lap time of two minutes 6.645 seconds to relegate Triple Eight's Will Brown to third place, but the 21-year-old Feeney refused to miss out on pole twice in one weekend.
Last man standing, Feeney tore through the iconic NSW circuit like a man possessed, surging to top spot in 2:06.546 to follow up his win in race one on Saturday afternoon.
He pipped Mostert by 0.099 seconds.
"That's five or six second-place starts in a row here at Bathurst so I was pretty keen to get a pole," Feeney said after the shootout.
"I just tried to bring it home."
Not only will it be his debut pole at Bathurst but Feeney also secured a career-first top-10 shootout triumph.
Brown (2:06.724) will start third on the grid, sharing the second row with James Golding (2:06.954).
David Reynolds showed his class to secure a starting spot in sixth after a less-than-ideal start to his weekend.
Denied a chance at the front row on Saturday by a deflated rear tyre, the Team 18 driver had spent most of qualifying in the pit lane, dogged by engine issues.
Reynolds, in his first and only lap, jumped from 24th to fifth on the chequered flag to secure his spot in the shootout.
"Anything is possible in the race," Reynolds said.
"The four guys in front of me are very, very fast drivers and they've got good cars.
"If I can sneak on the podium, unbelievable. I'll just be over the moon."
Erebus driver Jack Le Brocq will start next to Reynolds, while reigning champion Brodie Kostecki's replacement Todd Hazelwood had to settle for 12th.
Drivers will hit the track at 3.05pm (AEDT) for race two.
