Flickerfest
International Short Film Festival
When: Friday, July 26 and Friday, August 2 @ 7.30pm
They're short, they're sharp, they're thought-provoking, ground-breaking and wildly entertaining - the best short films of Flickerfest are coming to Gunnedah over two nights in July and August.
Flickerfest is the International Short Film Festival launched at Sydney's Bondi Beach every year, and Gunnedah is lucky enough to be part of the festival's touring schedule. To make it an occasion, theatre-goers are invited to attend from 6.30pm with complementary appetisers being served and candy bar open.
The movies are suitable for ages 15 years ad over, and each event will run for two hours.

Tamworth and District Cat Club
Pedigree and Domestic Cat Show
When: Saturday, July 27 @ 9am - 4pm
Where: Carinya Christian School, 25 Boronia Drive, Tamworth
This is a wonderful day out where you can see many of the state's top pedigree breeds of cats including Exotic Persians, large Main Coons, golden-eyed Burmese, floppy Rag Dolls, tiny baby kittens, along with slinky Siamese and the elegant Oriental.
Local Breeders will be available to speak to visitors during the day about the breeds of cat that will be on display. Formal judging is held in the morning and visitors can watch each of these breeds judged.
This Cat Show features some of the top pedigree cats in the state and these will compete for the top five placement awards including the overall coveted award: Supreme Cat in Show.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet with the Exhibitors and Breeders, ask questions and learn about different breeds of cats. Refreshments available at the canteen.

Jeans for Genes Family Fun Day

Travelling Film Festival

Fresh out of the 71st Sydney Film Festival program, the 50th anniversary of the Travelling Film Festival is coming to Tamworth Forum 6 Cinemas. Nine features and two award-winning short films will screen at exclusive screenings, including the opening night screening of the sweeping new Mori epic The Convert from Lee Tamahori (Once Were Warriors) starring Guy Pearce.

Tamworth Miniature Railway Open Day
When: Third Sunday of each month
A monthly public open day run by the Tamworth Miniature Railway Inc. Enjoy the sun and fun on the third Sunday of each month from 10am to 3pm, just $3 per ride for all ages. The Loco Cafe will be open with food and drinks. Find the Miniature Railway in the Botanic Gardens precinct at the top end of Piper St, Tamworth.
