A man accused of murdering his father in a domestic violence incident in Sydney's north will face court.

The alleged murder occurred on Thursday afternoon at a home in Berowra Heights, where officers found a 69-year-old man suffering serious injuries, police said.
Paramedics treated the man at the residence but he died at the scene.
A 38-year-old man known to the alleged victim was arrested at the home and later charged with murder.
The pair were father and son, multiple media outlets reported.
The man was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court on Friday.
