An offer shared by Accor loyalty program, Accor Live Limitless, on September 7 has since been removed and tour promoter Frontier Touring has spoken out about the offer.
"Frontier Touring wish to advise that stories in the media today that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets will be available through the ACCOR Live Limitless program are incorrect," the Frontier Touring statement said.
"ACCOR is not approved for this activity.
"We remind fans that the only safe - and approved - avenue to secure tickets is through the official ticketing agency for the tour, Ticketek."
The site had been offering tickets to Swift's Sydney shows for its loyalty program's rewards points.
Many fans of global superstar Taylor Swift missed out on her Australian shows with more than more than four million people attempting to secure tickets during the June pre-sales alone.
Swifties still waiting for resale opportunity
It comes after the official resale platform due to open on September 4 did not go ahead.
Neither Frontier Touring or Ticketek would comment on why the resale was rescheduled and a new date hasn't been announced.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The update was provided through Frontier Touring's Eras Tour FAQ page.
"Please note that the commencement date for Ticketek Resale has been rescheduled with a new date to be advised," the website states.
"Fans will be provided ample opportunity to list tickets ahead of the tour."
The resale through Ticketek Marketplace is the only official way for tickets to be resold and caps prices at no more than 10 per cent above the original cost.
Fans were warned not to buy tickets from unauthorised sites or through social media to avoid being scammed.
The sold-out Eras Tour is at Melbourne's MCG on February 16, 17 and 18, and at Sydney's Accor Stadium, on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.
