The 26-year-old woman was found at a Townsville address late on Saturday and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
She and a 44-year-old woman absconded from Townsville Correctional Centre's women's low security jail on Christmas Day.
The 26-year-old was charged with one count of escape from lawful custody and is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 44-year-old woman is still missing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
