The Roos started well and led 22-8 at half-time before claiming a 44-24 win that left them at the top of the table.
Dungowan won the two lead-up games at Jubilee Oval, destroying the Roos 68-0 in league tag and then notching a 34-10 win in reserve grade.

But the Roos' first-graders reversed those results when they repeated their opening round success against Narrabri.
"It was almost a carbon copy of that first round win," a delighted Boggabri coach Shane Rampling said.
"We were good very early again but then we let them score just before half-time and just after the break too.
"That was on the back of giving away penalties and making some mistakes. Once we controlled the ball we controlled the game and played some good footie."
Ex-Queensland Cup player Didymus Blankett made a great debut for Boggabri, scoring two tries after he started at five-eighth in a late change.
"Josh (Trindall) and Didymus created plenty of opportunities and worked in well together too," Rampling said.
"Rob (Doolan) and Isaiah (Adams) were very good, too, but when we play as a team and everyone is on the same page we go all right."
He said lightweight fullback Adams was dangerous in and around the ruck and crossed for two tries.
Meanwhile, the Moree Boars thumped Werris Creek early to set up a 30-point win in their first home game of the season.
The Boars pounced on the Magpies to win 54-24 on Saturday.
Ben Williams, the Boars captain-coach, had been concerned his side's lack of trials, and then their two-week wait to play their first game this year, might have had a major affect on their fitness to go the full 80 minutes.
Instead, his side was fresh and eager and produced some sparkling attack, as well as some powerful defence to strangle the visitors for what was a 10-try-to- five win.
"It was a great start," Williams said. "We were very good the first 20-25 minutes.
"We started well and stuck with it. They (Werris Creek) came to play as well but we were just too good."
Moree prop Luke Hetherington returned after a two-year absence to lead the way in the middle.
"He was outstanding, played the first 30 minutes up front," Williams.
