The North Tamworth Bears den staged the annual trials to select Northern Country teams in under-15 and 18 boys and under-16 girls' divisions.

Teams from the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese tackled combined Lismore and Armidale Diocese teams in the three age groups.
The selected Northern Country teams will now go on to play in the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Championship at St Mary's Penrith on May 19-21 (boys) and August 16/17 (girls).
They will play teams from Southern Country, Parramatta, Sydney, a Presidents 13 and Sydney Independent Schools.
"That will then earn the players selection in Australian Merit CCC sides and a tour to New Zealand," Koch added.
