Moree's Peter Sinclair has spent long enough in the racing game to know that when bad weather is rife, he needs to take his opportunities.

With that in mind, he has entered four horses to run in tomorrow's race meet in Gunnedah.
The veteran trainer will have Jonesy run in Race 5 tomorrow, and Liberty Head, Write On, and Rumberella take part in Race 6.
Of those four, Sinclair has the highest hopes for Liberty Head, who is returning from a six-month-long layoff.
"Liberty Head's my best horse in that race, but he's first up from a spell so I'm expecting him to need the run," he said.
"He'd had a long preparation last time in and needed the rest, so we gave him a rest. He's back ready to go now."
As for his other three horses, Sinclair's expectations are more moderate, but he knows they can be competitive on their day.

"Write On, he needs to step up a little bit," he said.
"He was a little bit disappointing in his last start at Moree. As for Rumberella, I gave him a few runs pretty quick culminating in a run at Narrabri, which he didn't like too much. I realise that I need to space his runs a bit more, but on his day he'll be competitive as well.
"Jonesy ran a nice race at Narrabri in his last start, he ran second. He's not a great horse but he'll be competitive."
The track in Gunnedah was recently upgraded from a soft eight to a soft seven, and Sinclair hopes by tomorrow afternoon it might even reach a six, which he said would be a "perfect racing surface".
Typically, Sinclair would not run three of his horses in the same race, but as cancellations and postponements have been so common in recent weeks due to the wet weather, he decided it was more important that the horses stretch their legs.
"Races have been called off for being too wet," Sinclair said.
"They need a run, basically. I don't like pushing them all in the one race, but when they haven't been racing, you've got to go because the way the weather is, you don't know what's coming up next week."
Race One will get underway at the Gunnedah Racecourse from 1.31pm tomorrow, Saturday, April 2.
There are seven races scheduled to take place, with the last set to begin at 5.26pm.
This meet was originally scheduled to take place at Taree, but after Racing NSW stewards inspected the Taree track and deemed it unsuitable for racing due to the heavy rain in the region, it was transferred.
Similarly, after the Warialda meeting was postponed, a Benchmark 66 Handicap 1400m to the Gunnedah program as well.
