His 16-year-old daughter, Chloe, drove one of the horses, Ultimate Force, to victory. Michael finished eighth behind Military Man. Chloe drove Ultimate Force to a 1.7m win in a mile rate of 1min 55.4sec for 1730m. The horse paid $21 for the win.

The opening race at Tamworth last week proved to be a family affair with the win of Monellina, who is trained by Tamworth Harness Racing Club director Scotty-Jon Welsh.
With two runners in the race, Welsh engaged in-form reinsman Tom Ison to take the reins behind Monellina.
"I had a few worries in the race, as she went a bit rough coming off the back, but we just kept driving through and came out alright," Ison said.
Racing in the one-by-one position, after commencing from the nine barrier off the second row, Ison made his move as the field headed up the back straight on the final occasion.
Racing three wide around the final bend, Monellina was too strong and won the Long May We Play Maiden Stakes by 1.6m over Aisty Bling, with Anniewhere Skyfall (Grace Panella) a neck away in third place.
