POLICE are continuing the ground and air search for a man who has been missing from Tamworth for more than a week.

The public has been urged to keep and eye out and report any sign of Ian Steadman, 67, after he was last seen at a home on Leonora Crescent in Kootingal on the morning of December 13.
Police and family members hold concerns for Mr Steadman's welfare since he failed to return return home.
Oxley officers believe Mr Steadman could be travelling in a white Ford Focus sedan from 2003 with the number plate reading AQP67R.

Police are trying to track down where Mr Steadman could be through land searches, and have also been supported by PolAir who are searching from the sky.
Mr Steadman is described as being of Caucasian appearance with an olive complexion, about 180cm tall, of thin build, with grey hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Mr Steadman's whereabouts is urged to contact Tamworth police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
