Milder conditions overnight have assisted the more than 100 firefighters that are battling the blaze but it is understood to still be out-of-control. Anyone in the area is advised to avoid unneccesary traveling.
At the time of publication the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park fire has burnt through more than 6,050 hectares.

There continues to be an active threat to lives and properties around the Redgate area, particularly east from the Bussell Highway, and to the south of the Hamelin Bay Road West toward the coastline.
Watch and act alerts have been issued for areas around Blackboy Hollow Cave Road, Rainbow Cave Road, McLean Road, Hinton Road, Glenarty Road, Kudardup Road, Bussell Highway, Caves Road, and Cosy Corner Road.
Anyone in the vicinity of Augusta and Leeuwin are being told to be ready for further bushfire advice.
