Patrick Hunt was given TBA life membership on Tuesday and alongside him other life members - Paul Hobson, Elizabeth Johnsen, Neil Gaffney, Jono Willis, Patrice Gaffney, Troy Jeffriess, Neil Adams and Trevor Wilcox - were presented with award pins.
TBA president Scott Ward was on deck to hand out the pins and thanked the members for their hard work over the years.
"The work we are doing now is coming off the back of the great work done by all of you people who've been involved in this program for so many years and all the time you've put in," he said.
Ward went on to thank Hunt - who is currently president of the World Association of Basketball Coaches and chair of FIBA's Technical Commission - for all he's done for TBA.
"I really appreciate everything you've done for Tamworth basketball many years ago and carrying the torch for Tamworth everywhere you go," Ward said to Hunt.

Wherever Hunt goes - be it the Olympics or a NSW event - he flies the flag for Tamworth and he was understandably chuffed to be given life membership.
"I must say I'm honoured to be in this esteemed company," Hunt said before later adding: "I'm very honoured to become a life member. The wonderful sporting history of people in Tamworth, particularly basketball. It's gone from strength to strength and continues to.
"We were just reminiscing about Nick Kay. I was fortunate to be in Tokyo and watch him perform so magnificently and, again. represent Tamworth which I made well know through the course of the Olympics."
