The Northern Inland Bolters will contest this season's Plan B Regional Bash with their youngest team ever, the side's veteran skipper, Tom Groth, has said.

The annual Twenty20 competition begins at Ballina on Saturday, with the Bolters engaged in two matches over the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, they play the Coffs Coast Charges, before meeting the Macquarie Coast Stingers on Sunday morning.

Groth said: "It's the youngest team we've ever taken away. So there should be a fair bit of enthusiasm there."
He added: "I suppose it's pretty exciting to see how some of these young guys will go, up against some pretty good teams over there."
Groth said it was "pretty hard to get people to travel away", in reference to potential Bolters not putting their hands up for selection. "But, yeah, the young guys are keen," he added.
COVID-19 restrictions and then rain have played havoc with cricket in NSW this year. Groth said the situation was unprecedented.
