The eighth case, who arrived on a flight from Singapore, was confirmed overnight.
The fully-vaccinated traveller has been in hotel quarantine since arriving late last month, and had recently been in southern Africa.
More than 80,000 tests were conducted across the state in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday.
The 337 new cases mean there are 140 cases in NSW hospitals, with 25 requiring intensive care.
There were no new deaths added to the pandemic's toll in the Friday update.
First dose vaccination for people 16 and over remains at 94.6 per cent, with double dose at 92.6 per cent.
For those 12 to 15, the numbers are 81.3 and 76.9 per cent respectively.
