The seats will fill and the curtain will go up for the first time in two years to welcome back a cast of local and national talent.
Learn, live, hope and new beginnings will be the theme for the 2022 season, which Capitol Theatre manager Peter Ross said was all about starting fresh.
"It's time to begin a new, to look forward and be grateful," he said.
Mr Ross said there was an outstanding mix of local and national talent waiting in the wings.

"It's really important that we showcase our own, but certainly bring in touring shows for our audiences and those who practice the arts to watch, see and learn," he said.
First to break-a-leg and kick off the 2022 season will be the political satire comedy show 'Wharf Revue', which will hit the stage on February 17 to give audiences a much-needed laugh after a tough 18 months.
With something for everyone, Mr Ross said there was a great line-up of music, dance, comedy and kids shows.
A highlight on the calendar will be a visit from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in May.
The Sapphires will be back by popular demand and Opera Australia's production of 'The Barber of Seville' will also hit the stage.
Family-friendly shows will include 'Guess How Much I Love you' and 'Earth's Prehistoric World' in the October school holidays.
The theatre will also play hot to plenty of local talent, with Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music, Tamworth City Dance Academy, the 2340 Big Band, The Studio Classical & Performing Arts and the Tamworth RSL Brass Band all set to entertain audiences.
The Tamworth Musical Society will belt out 'Sweeny Todd' and 'Chicago', while the Tamworth Dramatic Society will strip it back for the 'Full Monty' and 'Clue' later in the year.
"We give all our local shows a 'Made in Tamworth' stamp so we can proudly say this is something that has been created in town," Mr Ross said.
With what has felt like an ongoing cycle of stop and start in the arts and entertainment industry, Mr Ross said he was excited to feel the pressure of deadlines, dates, schedules and opening nights once again.
"When those things change and are up in the air, it's very hard to plan creatively."
But most importantly, the showman said he was looking forward to welcoming audiences back.
"These experiences are really important to our day to day life," he said.
"It's great to have the theatre full of people again. It's a lonely place without people."
With an exciting year on the stage ahead and a line-up no one would want to miss, Mr Ross said the perfect gift this festive season would be a membership or gift voucher to the Capitol.
For a full list of the acts that are preparing for curtain call, season booklets can be picked up from the Theatre, or requested online.
