Negotiations in cases of Daniel Lee Connors, Trica Tresa Fletcher, Ali Goulzari Anvar and Abdul Wasim Kherhhah after drugs and cash allegedly uncovered in Tamworth

Daniel Lee Connors, Trica Tresa Fletcher, Ali Goulzari Anvar and Abdul Wasim Kherhhah are all on bail and did not appear when their matters were called in Tamworth Local Court last week.

The court heard negotiations between the defence and prosecution were continuing.

"I should hope so, it's got a bit of age to it," magistrate Julie Soars said during the mentions.

Solicitor Max Dixon from the state prosecuting authority, the DPP, asked Ms Soars to adjourn the matters to a date early in the new year.

It's expected there will be some progress in the cases at that time.

The court heard there may be a possibility of "resolution" in Fletcher's matter, but Legal Aid defence solicitor Wendy McAuliffe said it was in the hands of the DPP.

Connors' defence lawyer Garry Johnston told the court there had already been a case conference in the matter but there had been issues with some evidence brief items which needed to be resolved.

The four cases will be called again on January 12 and bail was continued for each co-accused.

The group were arrested after Oxley police spotted a Toyota Tarago parked on Aberdeen Street with the motor running and the driver's seat empty while out patrolling for break-ins late at night on March 22.

Police claim they spoke with Anvar, Connors and Kherhhah at the time before searching the car, allegedly uncovering a $71,000 cash stash and what police said at the time was about $143,000 worth of the drug ice.

The police case is that Fletcher was the driver of the van and she was charged with dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime.

Kherhhah, Anvar and Connors each face charges of dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime, taking part in the supply of drugs, and participating in a criminal group.
