The kids got close to a full day's play in on Saturday at Inverell before rain washed the event out on Sunday.
Covid, and then rain, saw the 2020 event cancelled before covid again struck this year.
The 2021 event was meant to be played in August but was rescheduled to November.
Tennis NSW development officer Ellie Ryan said all the kids got "plenty of tennis" before the rain fell.
"It was a shame [they couldn't play Sunday] but there was heaps of tennis played on Saturday. We had 21 courts so everyone was sharing courts and got a lot of matches in," Ryan said.
"It was really good to be able to at least get that one day of tennis in for the kids."
