POLICE have been working around the clock to track down a group of men accused of stabbing a man in the torso before stealing some of his belongings and fleeing the scene in an allegedly stolen car.

A teenage boy was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station after police allege the 13-year-old was found hiding inside the Bowdens Lane home when they were called to the scene in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police confirmed the teenager is helping them with their investigations as they try to work out the events that led up to the 51-year-old occupant of the home being hospitalised with a stab wound and injuries to his hands.
Emergency services rushed to the house at Moore Creek just after midnight on Wednesday where they found the man had been knifed in the torso and had suffered injuries to his hands.

Four ambulance crews attended the scene and paramedics treated him before he was taken to Tamworth hospital for further medical attention. It is understood he was in a stable condition at the time.
Officers have launched a public appeal for information, after they claim they were told a group of men broke into the home and attacked the man before stealing some of his belongings.
Police allege the band of unidentified men were last seen fleeing the scene in a Volkswagen Polo believed to have been stolen.
Police claim the vehicle was later discovered partially burnt out in Coledale after a search of surrounding areas.
Following the alleged incident, a crime scene was set up on Bowdens Lane in the hours after midnight on Wednesday as detectives combed the area for any clues that might lead them to the man's alleged attackers.
A number of items were seized by Oxley police during a search of the home and surrounds, which will be forensically examined in the hopes they can shed some light on the alleged incident.
Investigations are continuing and the Leader understands no charges had been laid in connection to the alleged break-in and stabbing by Wednesday afternoon.
Police have urged anyone in the community who might know something or have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the alleged incident to contact Tamworth police or make a report to Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1800 333 000.
