TBI president David McMurray confirmed the news on Friday with the fields considered too dangerous.
They are currently closed after more rain late on Thursday and overnight took the city's tally (at the official airport weather station) to 85mm since Monday.

He said it isn't so much the grass that is the concern but the dirt patches around the bases.
"All the cut out dirt sections take a while to dry out," he said.

While the baseball is a non-starter there are still some events going ahead on the weekend with the North and North West Showjumping Club staging a pop-up show at AELEC. Running on Saturday and Sunday, the first horses will be on course at 8am both days.
The Tamworth Triathlon Club is also holding their first triathlon for the season on Saturday with registration from 4.30pm at the Kootingal Pool.
On Sunday some of the region's best tennis players will also be hitting the courts in Tamworth for the North West seeding day. The under-8s through to under-12s will be at the Courts@East (Treloar Park) while the under-14s and under-16s will play at West Tamworth.
