We had only just packed up our proverbial bat and ball when Channel 7 announced six new singles for its immensely popular Farmer Wants A Wife television program.
Five eligible bachelors and one bachelorette have thrown their hat in the ring for the 12th season, to be aired in 2022 - and one of them is Benjamin Jackson.
On the Farmer Wants a Wife bio page, Farmer Benjamin, 33, from Guyra, NSW, describes himself "as an agricultural enthusiast with a penchant for the creative".
The New England sheep farmer, who refers to himself as "a glorified shepherd" has a degree in drama, which should serve him well.
He also co-owns a record label (electronic music brings him "great joy") and he "dabbles in visual arts through the medium of sheep".
Mr Jackson first stepped into the spotlight when he posted a video of his sheep barracking for the mighty NSW Blues before the 2019 State of Origin decider on his Electric Postman Facebook page.
On his drought-stricken property before the match, Jackson distributed his flock's daily feed but made sure it was put down into a huge "GO BLUES" formation.
Drone footage captured the sheep scurrying to dig into their feed and the message on who they thought would win the decider was determined.
Then in 2020, when border restrictions kept him from attending his beloved aunt's funeral in Brisbane, he turned his paddock into a breathing memorial to her.
This time he spread sheep feed across the ground in the shape of a giant love-heart, before capturing it on film via a drone as his flock formed his tribute. The footage went viral making news around the world.
Farmer Benjamin also enjoys the theatre, cricket, travel and using the word "extrapolated".
IN OTHER NEWS:
He is looking for a woman who is independent, funny and creative.
"Any lady that is signing up for me is signing up for a choose-their-own-adventure," Mr Jackson says on his FWAW promotional video.
He also once wrote a woman's name using 2500 sheep, then photographed and videoed it from a drone. Mr Jackson thought it was a really romantic gesture, however, it wasn't perceived quite that way.
But that won't stop him, he sounds like he has more romantic gestures up his sleeve.
His philosophy on love: Omnia Vincet Amor (love conquerors all).
Expect a healthy offering of outdoor bathing (baptisms), enthusiastic dog patting and sunset watching from the back of the ute.
