A NATIONAL qualifying event for the region's best hacks, hunters, ponies and riders has been named a COVID-19 exposure site at one of the largest equine facilities in the country.

Hunter New England Health (HNEH) officials have identified the New England and North West Show Horse Association's Country Show Horse Championships as a casual contact exposure site across three days.
Anyone who was at Tamworth's Australian Equine Livestock and Events Centre [AELEC] on November 5 from 3:30pm to 9pm, November 6 from 6:30am and 9pm and November 7 from 6:30am to 9pm is urged to test and isolate until they receive a negative result.
It comes as the region's outbreak continues to grow, with fifteen new cases in Moree, six in Inverell, six in Tamworth and five in Armidale in today's update.
Fragments of the virus have also been detected in sewage at Uralla.
Thirty-two cases across the district were in isolation for their entire infectious period, 24 were infectious in the community and four are still under investigation.
It brings the total number of new cases in the district to 60, diagnosed to 8pm last night across 10 local government areas.

Testing efforts have ramped up in Inverell and Moree, where health officials urge anyone with even the mildest symptoms to come forward.
"We also encourage people to get vaccinated, if they haven't done so already," a HNEH spokeswoman said.
"High vaccination rates are essential to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of the community.
"This is especially important for Aboriginal communities in these areas, where there continue to be a number of cases identified."
Vaccination clinics are available at the below locations:
Moree Hospital vaccination clinic
Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 3pm
Moree Hospital mobile vaccination clinic at Boughton Oval
Monday to Thursday 10am to 2pm
Pius X walk-in vaccination clinic at 140 Anne Street
Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
Pius X in-home vaccination available on request by calling 6752 1099.
Free transport can be arranged through the Moree On Demand Transport Service for the hospital clinic or mobile vaccination clinic. Book by calling 1300 679 287.
Members of the public can get tested at Moree Hospital from 7am to 6pm daily, at Moree Showground drive-through testing from 7am to 5pm daily and at the Pius X Gateway swab station from 6am to 3pm daily.
In Inverell, tests are available at the drive-through clinic at the Inverell Netball Courts near the showground on November 11 from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Tests are also available at the Laverty drive-through clinic.
Bookings are not required.
Tests are available at the Boggabilla Community Health Clinic on November 11 and 13 from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
