The NRL draw was released on Tuesday and with it the announcement the Tigers would be taking on the Cronulla Sharks at Scully Park on August 13.
The round 22 clash, which will be on a Saturday with a 5.30pm kickoff, will see the Sharks finally make it to Tamworth.
They were scheduled to play the Tigers this year before that fixture was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Wests Entertainment Group CEO Rod Laing was thrilled to be able continue their partnership with the Tigers and said things were looking positive going forward.
"Easing of restrictions - everything looks pretty good. I think we're in for a big evening," Laing said of the NRL fixture.
Laing said before the 2021 match at Scully Park was cancelled, it had proved popular among locals.
"I know there was a lot of interest in this particular game that was taken off us with Tigers and Sharks," Laing said.
"Ticket sales were strong and I expect the same when the tickets go on sale, roughly around December.
"The reserved seating tickets will go like hot cakes."
Since first bringing a game to Tamworth in 2018, the Tigers have managed to play just one more game here despite their best efforts.
The Tigers took on Gold Coast at Scully Park in 2019 before COVID-19 saw Tamworth clashes cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
However, it didn't stop the Tigers from coming to town last year with the first grade squad descending on Tamworth for a week-long training camp.
On that occasion, the Tigers were the third club to visit the region in a short period of time after the Newcastle Knights and New Zealand Warriors both came to town.
Along with visiting and being based in Tamworth at different times, the New Zealand Warriors also played an NRL game at Scully Park in 2020.
