The Bendemeer Bullet more than played his part in the eight-wicket win with figures of 4-39 from his four overs while David Warner (89*) and Mitch Marsh (53) led the way with the bat.
Two people tuned into the match were Hazlewood's proud parents.

They watched on from home to witness a less than ideal start to the match for their son.
After one over, the quick's figures read 0-19 after Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis went after Hazlewood.
But, his bounce back was swift.
Hazlewood kicked off his second over by taking the wicket of Nicholas Pooran before he clean bowled Roston Chase with an absolute peach of a delivery two balls later.
Trevor Hazlewood, Josh's father, said his son showed what he was made of by bouncing back quickly.
"That shows a bit of experience and a bit of intestinal fortitude," Trevor said.
"You've gotta be able to come back and not start shaking... Don't back down, come again which he has done several times to prove them wrong. [It was] very good and we're very proud of him."
Hazlewood was brought back into the attack for one-over spells later in the game and took a wicket in each of those overs.
Australia will now likely face Pakistan in the semi-finals which will be played on November 11 and 12.
