Club members have put in the hard yards over the cooler months and coach Graham Johnstone is hoping it will pay off as carnivals kick off around the region.
"Our numbers were awesome and the effort they put in at training was probably the best they've ever done so we're really looking forward to the summer and seeing results," Johnstone said.

Numbers at the club are also healthy with over 20 new swimmers joining.
The club has over 110 registered swimmers now with about 80 of them turning out for the first club night of the season last Tuesday.
Johnstone said the increase in numbers was great to see.
"You always have a bit of turnover each year but we had another two join yesterday [Saturday] so that's about 24 new ones now," the coach said.
Johnstone is focused on two key dates now.
The first is the Gunnedah long course carnival which will be held on November 20-21
"It'll be good to see the kids have a hit out there," Johnstone said.
"A couple have been travelling the North Coast doing carnivals but this will be the first local carnival for them and I think we've got about 20 kids down so far from Kooty."
The other key date is Kootingal Moonbi's carnival which will be held on December 11.
"It's on a Saturday this year for the first time," Johnstone said.
"The main aim for the kids is to train hard for that."
