Jason Leonard has taken over from Kevin "Darby" Sherlock as the chief Magpie.
A former player and the son of the Magpies' premiership-winning former captain-coach Trevor Leonard, Jason Leonard has been on the Magpies' committee for a number of years.
"Darby approached me last year," Leonard said of the move to make him president.
"He just wanted a rest - 27 years is a long time."
Sherlock has been an institution at the Magpies since he finished playing in the mid-80s.
"He doesn't have the luxury of stepping away [completely] though," Leonard said of Sherlock. He's going to be there helping me out.
"He'll still be around mowing and still be involved with the committee."
Leonard said being made president was "a big step up" for him.
"But we have a great committee and everyone will be working to the same common goal.
"Ronnie [Dellar], Cody [Tickle] and Lisa [Dellar] we're all singing from the same book.
"Cody's going to coach first grade by himself this season. Brownie has too many work and family commitments," Leonard said of last season's co-coaches Tickle and Tom Brown.
"Cody is also growing into the job. He's been playing first grade since he was 17. This will be his ninth year."
Lisa Dellar is the Magpies' secretary.
Garth Parker and Dave "Rocky" Stewart will coach Magpies' second-grade side next season, while Jason Smith will again coach the league tag side.
The Magpies' presentation night will be staged on November 20.
"Next year is going to be another big year for the club," Lisa Dellar. "We will be celebrating 110 years."
She said the club will wait and see the 2022 Group 4 draw before deciding whether it celebrate the milestone in a major way.
