The annual Barbarians Cox Plate Race Day is set down for Saturday in a TAB2 six race meet.
There will be plenty of local horses to back with trainers Lea Selby, Mark Ostini, Stirling Osland and Stafford Wain all putting forward multiple nominations.
While crowds are allowed back in to catch the action there are some restrictions.
Proof of double vaccination is required and if seated indoors, a mask is required,
A percentage of the gate takings will also be donated to the Armidale branch of the State Emergency Service after their efforts in cleaning up wreckage from the recent tornado.
"It should be good," Armidale Jockey Club's secretary-manager Jim Dedes said.
It will be good to have people back there and to warm up for our Armidale Cup.

"We should have a reasonable crowd over there, I would think for the Barbarians race day.
"Like every other hospitality place everyone has to show proof of vaccination.
"It will be good to have people back there and to warm up for our Armidale Cup.
"We have this one and then one in early November. Then our Armidale Cup is on the 12th of December."
Gates open at 11.30am.
