Coles South Tamworth has been listed as a casual contact site by NSW Health so anyone who was there at the above times must get a coronavirus test immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.

The Longyard Hotel in Tamworth has been listed as a casual contact COVID-19 exposure site by health authorities.

Anyone who was at the Ringers Road venue on Friday night, October 15, between 6:30pm and 7:15pm must get a coronavirus test immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.

The hotel was added to the NSW Health list on Friday afternoon, just a day after the West Tamworth Leagues Club was listed.

Anyone who attended these venues at the above times is a casual contact and must get tested and self-isolate until receiving a negative result.

More than one test may be required.

A CHEMIST has been listed as an exposure site in Tamworth overnight.

Tamworth Discount Drug Store in the Robert Street shopping village is a casual contact exposure site at the following times:

BCF Tamworth in Hillvue is also a casual contact exposure site between 10:40am to 11:05am on Monday, October 4, 2021.

Kings Brake Service was listed last week and is a casual contact venue from 2:10pm to 2:40pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Causal contacts must get tested immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.

THE BIG W store has been added to a slowly growing list of COVID-19 exposure sites in Tamworth.

NSW Health confirmed a positive case visited Big W in Shoppingworld on Bridge Street between 10:50am and 11:20am on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Anyone who was there at that time is considered a casual contact and must get tested then isolate until a negative result is received.

A SUPERMARKET in Tamworth has been listed as a casual contact exposure site by health authorities overnight.

NSW Health confirmed the Woolworths store in Shopping World, on the corner of William Street and Denne Street, was visited by a confirmed COVID-19 case.

Anyone at the store between 2:50pm and 3:40pm on Tuesday, October 5, is considered a casual contact and must get tested immediately then isolate until a negative result is received.

Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service (TAMS) reopened on Wednesday after all staff tested negative for COVID-19 following The Youthie's vaccination hub being listed as an exposure site for September 30.

Hunter New England Health (HNEH) physician Dr David Durrheim has reassured the community that health authorities will publicly list all venues of concern that may pose a risk to the community.

TAMWORTH Aboriginal Medical Service (TAMS) has announced it has been forced to close temporarily on Monday as most staff were at a vaccination hub which has since been listed as a casual contact exposure site.

Casual contacts must get swabbed for COVID-19 and isolate until a negative result is received.

A statement posted to social media said test results for the affected staff would hopefully return soon so the organisation could reopen its doors.

TAMS has been a crucial part of the vaccination effort in Tamworth and across the region, helping the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) run mass walk-in hubs.

No further exposure sites have been listed across the region as at Monday evening.

NEW CASUAL contact exposure sites have been listed in Tamworth by NSW Health over the weekend and on Monday morning, as another school is shut down for cleaning.

Tamworth High School has confirmed it has closed for deep cleaning on Monday after a member of the school community tested positive to COVID-19.

Advice for casual contacts:

Anyone who attended these venues are considered casual contacts and must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

If the date of exposure at the venue occurred in last four days, you must get another test on day five from the date of exposure.

Wear a mask around others and limit your movements until you get another negative result.

You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again.

HEALTH authorities have confirmed all potential contacts of the positive COVID-19 case understood to have visited Lake Keepit over the long weekend have been identified.

A Hunter New England Health (HNEH) spokeswoman told the Leader it was aware of a visitor to the area who has since tested positive to the virus.

The spokeswoman said no exposure site would be listed at this stage because contact tracing had been done.

Anyone who visited the Gunnedah local government area - which includes Lake Keepit - since Monday, September 27, is subject to the state at home orders.

There has been one recent case each in Tamworth and Werris Creek, which HNEH have linked to the Gunnedah cluster, which sits at six people at as the Tuesday update.
