Moments prior to the gates opening in Monday's Denman Cup, Guyra trainer Ian Cook predicted Rexx would launch out and lead for the win.

The hulking gelding did just that.
Apprentice jockey Casey Waddell rode the horse the way he likes to run and held the lead for the 1280 metre Cup race to win by two lengths from Jason Deamer's War Cat.
"He jumps really good and I reckon he will hold the front," Cook told Thoroughbred Central prior to the race.

The son of I Am Invincible was coming off a third place in Tamworth with Kosciusko contending Edit taking the win.
"He was probably a bit unlucky to miss out there," Cook said.
"He ran a really good race."
It was Rexx's sixth career win.
Racing returns to Armidale this Thursday for a seven race full TAB meet.
