The Tamworth Jockey Club has appointed member-elected directors to its board following a vote at the club's annual general meeting.

After TJC received 91 votes from members, James Carolan, Daniel Daly, Keith Harris, Joe Howard, Mitch Jones and Ray Nicholson were elected to the board.
They are all new to the roles.
"It's a mix of newish members and a mix of members that have been involved with the club for a while," TJC general manager Michael Buckley said.

"It's a good dynamic and we're really excited by the opportunities presented for the Tamworth Jockey Club going forward."
The previous TJC board stood down in January before a Racing NSW inquiry found that the club had breached its conditions of registration.
Racing NSW are now in the process of appointing four independent directors to complete the 10-person board."
Buckley said it was "exciting times for the club".
"We were delighted with all seven candidates that had applied and think it's only positive for the club going forward," Buckley said.
"We've been very lucky in recent months to receive significant funding from the state government in the form of $2.4 million for new stables and training infrastructure along with the near completion of our $1.56 million sand training track.
He added: "We're hoping that in a few weeks' time we'll be able to have all board members join together to start running the Tamworth Jockey Club going forward."
