Membership is in the hundreds and turnout on the fairways is great, too. Last week 81 players took to the greens.
It's an "incredible number", Tamworth Veterans Golf Club captain Peter Izod says, and the reason is likely due to golf being able to continue during lockdown.
"We've always had membership in the hundreds but of late it is increasing," Izod said.
"I guess we're very lucky that golf is one of the few recreational activities that is allowed under lockdowns with covid."

Unfortunately for Izod, he hasn't been one of those players hitting the greens.
The captain injured his knee warming up for a round and is now sidelined with a full knee replacement on the cards.
"I can assure you, it's very frustrating and it's probably even worse for my wife because she has to put up with my frustration," Izod said with a laugh.
"But she helps me do the scorecards and that sort of thing. At least in doing that, it keeps me involved... a lot of our players are good friends and now, as you can't visit anybody, it's a good opportunity to say a quick hello in passing."
Izod has been captain of the Tamworth Veterans Golf Club for seven or eight years and apart from the mateship, the reason he sticks around is simple.
"I love golf," he said.
Izod would love to see more people join the club as well.
The captain said the club was keen to welcome new members with men aged 55 and over as well as women aged 50 and over able to join.
Membership is $12 and comes with some perks, Izod said, that will be perfect once lockdown lifts.
"We're affiliated with NSW veterans golf association and once you're a member of our veterans you can play in any veterans competition anywhere in the state," Izod said.
"We do have some members that are members simply because they like to travel and take their golf clubs with them and there's always a veterans competition on somewhere."
