Man aged in his 30s has died in Tamworth hospital after trailbike crash near Warral Road, West Tamworth

A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, suffered serious head injuries when he fell from his motorbike near Warral Road in West Tamworth.

Emergency services rushed to the scene just before midday, and treated the man at the crash site before taking him to hospital.

Police confirmed the man sadly died a short time later.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, which left the trial bike against a fence.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Friends and family of the Tamworth man took to social media to post heartfelt tributes on Thursday afternoon after the sad news spread.

A MOTORBIKE rider is in a serious condition in hospital after he suffered head injuries when he crashed into a fence in Tamworth on Thursday.

A section of Warral Road, in West Tamworth, was closed off to traffic as emergency services rushed to the scene of the single-vehicle crash just before midday.

An Ambulance NSW spokesman told the Leader paramedics treated a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, for multiple injuries after the motorcycle he was riding left the road and collided with a fence.

The man suffered injuries to his face and head in the accident, as well as a broken ankle and various cuts and bruising, according to the spokesman.

The rider was taken to Tamworth hospital for further treatment and was understood to be in a serious condition.

He was the only person injured in the accident.

Police and emergency services remained at the crash scene early on Thursday afternoon as it was cleared.
