THE Westpac Rescue chopper was needed on Monday morning after a man was involved in a serious tractor accident.

The incident occurred at about 9:50am on a property about 30 kilometres from Uralla.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene to treat the 58-year-old male, who had suffered leg fractures.

The helicopter critical care medical team quickly arrived and gave the man further treatment before airlifting him to Tamworth hospital.
He was last reported to be in a stable condition.
