A YOUNG MAN has died after a workplace incident at a business on the outskirts of Tamworth in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police confirmed they were called to a business at Bective about 4am, after reports a 19-year-old man had been seriously injured.
Fellow workers rushed to help the young man and emergency services were urgently called to the scene to treat the young worker, but he could not be saved.

"Despite the efforts of his fellow workers and emergency services, the 19-year-old man died at the scene," police told the Leader.
Oxley police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances that led the young man to lose his life.
Police confirmed the death is being treated as a workplace incident and has been referred to SafeWork NSW.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
