The triple threat - where competitors took part in the half marathon, 10km and 5km races - was offered to runners this year.
Chung claimed the crown in the Pro Active Physio Triple Threat in a time of 2:08:24 after he won the Barton Lane Practice Half Marathon earlier in the day.
The runner then finished third in the Sampson's Car Repairs Tamworth 10 and third in the Tamworth Shopping World 5km Fun Run as well.
Chung resides in Newcastle - where he works as a doctor - but lived in Tamworth in 2019 where he did his placement for university.
He said it was nice to catch up with old friends and have another run around Tamworth.
"I was really looking forward to coming back and seeing a few old familiar faces again, running the same old route. (It was) a walk down memory lane," he said.
