The game on Saturday was fast, Swans coach Paul Kelly said there was a "finals feel" to it, and the Swans won it in the middle two quarters.
The Roos held a one-point lead at the first break before the Swans kicked nine goals to two in the next two quarters. The Kangaroos outscored the Swans in the last term to make the final score 12.13 (85) to 7.6 (48).
Kelly was most pleased with the "attack on the footy" from his side who have now strung back-to-back wins together.
"Last week was really good, probably the best footy we've played in a long time, and to win in Armidale... really happy with that," he said.
"Today, I thought it was a lot different - the game. I thought it was a lot faster. There was a finals feel to the game."
Along with the victory, the Swans also celebrated Stephen Fairless' 100th game on Saturday.
The veteran snagged a goal in the match - something coach Kelly thought was fitting.
"A lot of experience and he knows a lot about footy," Kelly said when asked what Fairless brings to the team.
"He has a good footy brain and voice on the ground. He just directs people around, tells them where to go.
"That's a big thing. Voice is a big part of the game and we probably lack that but when you have blokes like Sticky [it makes a difference]."
Cooper Thompson was adjudged the Swans best out of fullback while Justin Leehy led the way in front of goal with three six-pointers.
Meanwhile, Jack Dadd was named best on for the Kangaroos who were hit hard by injuries on Saturday.
Co-coach Ben Mitchell and James Vallender both left the field in the second half, and didn't return, with what appeared to be collar bone/shoulder injuries.
Despite the loss, the Kangaroos took out the minor premiership.
They finished the regular season one win in front of the Swans, Nomads and Saints.
On Saturday, New England beat Inverell and Gunnedah beat Moree-Narrabri.
The Swans and Roos will play again next week for a spot in the grand final.
The Nomads and Saints will clash in the minor semi-final.
