Nick Kay and his Boomers scored their third win from as many games while Kate Jenner and her Hockeyroos also remain unbeaten.
The Boomers beat Germany 89-76 while the Hockeyroos defeated Argentina 2-0 on Saturday.
The next stage for both of the teams is the quarter finals.
In the hockey, Australia will play India on Monday while the basketball will see Australia take to the court on Tuesday.
The Boomers clash on Saturday saw Kay step in to a starting role and score 16 points.
The win gave the Australian side the top spot in their group.
"We are coming into it like we want to win six games and win a gold, so that was important for us," Kay said of securing top spot in the group.
"Obviously seeding and position for the next game is a big factor, so we came out and played well together.
"We want that gold, so it doesn't matter who we come up against (in the quarter-finals). You've got to beat the best teams to get that."
