South United moved into the top two for the first time this season with a pair of wins on Saturday and Sunday.
They first knocked over Kootingal FC 2-0 before coming from behind to beat Moore Creek 3-2.
"They all backed up really well and I was impressed with their form," coach Darrel Mole said.
"It was probably the tougher game - the Moore Creek game. They came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2."

Mole said South just "kept playing their game" and slowly pegged the lead back before moving in front.
"They were very positive," Mole said of his troops at half-time.
"We felt we were the better side and still had the run of play. We just needed to keep our heads together."
As for who was influential for South United, Mole said it was the "older heads" who made a big difference.
Justin Kellett nabbed two goals while Justin Pendergast, Daniel Pyne and Darren Desmid all had big games.
"They were the rock solid, not that the young blokes weren't, but they were the glue holding the team together," Mole said of the experienced players.
North Companions also grabbed six points from the weekend and are hot on the heels of South United.
OVA (34) remain on top, followed by South (23), Northies (22), Gunnedah FC (17), Tamworth FC (16), Moore Creek (7) and Kootingal (2).
Mole thinks South can maintain their spot in the top two with seven regular rounds to go this season.
They are unbeaten in their last nine games and Mole said the form stems from "everyone on the field giving 100 per cent". He was also thrilled by the number of different goal-scorers emerging for the side.
"The goal-scoring is evenly spread now. We haven't got one player scoring goals. We've got a number of players that are finishing," the coach said.
