In danger of losing touch with the four, FC overturned a 2-1 half-time deficit to score a crucial 4-2 win.
Kurt Barrow scored a brace and twice gave FC the lead. After opening the scoring about seven minutes into the game, he later converted from the penalty spot to put them up 3-2 up with about 15 minutes to play.

Captain Hayden Davidson had earlier in the half run onto a great through ball from Sean Aslin to lock the scores up at 2-all.
FC's third win in-a-row, it was their first against one of the sides challenging for the finals since the third round and as Davidson acknowledged post game "a big win" for them as they "try and make our way back into that top four".
"It was slow wet football to start with, just to get your touch right is a bit hard.
"But as the game went on the boys all showed themselves," he said.
Lacking a bit of cohesion in the first half, he said at half-time the focus was really on getting "all on the same page and working together".
They were able to do that in the second half and were on the back of that a lot more threatening in attack.
Davidson said he did feel a lift after they got the equaliser.
"Once we got back to 2-all, I thought we were definitely going to push on," he said.
He praised the "blokes at the back" in Matt Gardner and Sam Williams.
"They were great, the second half especially, controlling the game and talking to the boys," he said.
There was plenty on the line with Gunnedah playing to hold onto second, and plenty of fire in the contest. Both sides finished with 10 after Bartlett and Gunnedah FC coach and keeper Andy Cygan were red-carded following an altercation late in the game.
Eli Rankmore set up both of Gunnedah's goals with superb crosses, Mitch Harding converting the first and Rob Pryor heading in the second late in the first half.
Both sides will be back in action on Sunday with Gunnedah hosting North Companions and Tamworth FC taking on competition leaders Oxley Vale Attunga.
