Ahead of the reigning four-time premiers' home clash against second-placed Gunnedah on Saturday, the co-coach said the side were looking forward to their run to the finals after a series of torrid encounters.
Squires regards the clash against Gunnedah as the end of a tough stretch that has included matches against Walcha, Narrabri and Moree.

Third-placed Pirates won the first two clashes 40-23 and 29-22, respectively, before losing 29-26 away to Moree last round. They also lost away to Scone during that period.
Squires said: "When you've gone through the draw we have, it's hard to get up for five weeks, especially with injuries.
"Our best footy is still more than good enough. We've showed that in our two wins over Walcha and Narrabri, and that's what we'll look for for tomorrow [Saturday]."
The Red Devils, who are coming off a bye, beat Pirates 36-21 in round five.
Squires said: "Obviously we love getting back to home. Gunnedah were too strong for us last time, so we're looking to try and return that favour tomorrow [Saturday]."
Pirates forwards Tim Collins (ribs) and Nick McCrohon (knee) are out this week, but the side welcomes back experienced forwards Doug Biffin and Barton Leach.
The also welcome back centres Johnny Seabrook and Damien Reti and winger Oliver Wright.
