Very testing opener on a rain-hit track, and typically there's not much between a few of these. She doesn't always bring her best, but four-year-old provincial mare 5. KIKIKAPOW (Steve Hodge/Matthew Palmer; 57kg) has more than enough ability in this company to break a long winless run. Drawn wide, but if she can tuck in for some sort of cover will be the strongest over the final 600m considering she's been competitive over much further and in better company.
*MAIN DANGERS: Improving Dubbo mare 4. Dissenter can peak at this longer trip after chasing hard last start, and meets that winner 2.5kg better at the weights. Lightly raced three-year-old 3. Septimus Severus won that race, and drew to get a soft run here off-setting that weight runaround. Provincial four-year-old 1. Finney who was scratched from Newcastle on Saturday to run here; and five-year-old 2. Promesa who is tough; can both be included in exotics.

Naturally early positioning will be vital in this, and keen at the value on two-year-old Extreme Choice filly 11. DON'T DOUBT KATIE (Nathan Doyle/Ashley Morgan; 55kg) who debuts off a couple of very progressive soft track trials. Has had to bide her time, but has been kept ticking over nicely. Draws to find a nice trail, and bred to thrive on rain-affected ground.
*MAIN DANGERS: Scone three-year-old filly 8. Love Is In The Air is nine weeks between runs, with a nice trial last month. Gets a handy weight drop from her second start in provincial grade, and back in trip is the big key. Ex-Qld two-year-old 1. Ezekeil resumes off a long break for a new and leading local stable. Showed enough last spring in some handy races, and draws the inside with a 3kg claim. Bred to handle the conditions. Despite the wide draw, three-year-old filly 9. Head Above is on the next line third-up in her second prep.

Still rising home track three-year-old filly 13. SUVA MAY (Luke Morgan/Ms Casey Waddell a2kg; 55kg) was impressive charging home late at her fourth start, and is destined for bigger targets than this. Could be looking for further now, but she's a real strong wet tracker in the making, with a crucial 2kg claim in a set weight race, and should get enough speed up front to power home.
*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive three-year-old 4. Full Coverage can return much stronger this prep after two improving trials, easily winning the latest showing tactical speed. Watch for any market moves on local four-year-old 5. I'm Savvy who flopped on a poor quality Heavy 10 last start, but this looks a shade weaker. Dissident three-year-old filly 11. Lapseki has ability, but seemed to get lost back in the field on the bigger Dubbo track and didn't finish off. Query on the heavy rating.

Still in maiden company, and provincial Rubick two-year-old gelding 13. CIAO BICKY (Kris Lees/TBC; 56.5kg) can start his career with a bang. Debuts in blinkers off two eye-catching trials, and is bred to handle these conditions being out of a Canford Cliffs mare.
*MAIN DANGERS: Improving Taree filly 8. Little Miss Dotty can strike third-up for the new stable, with blinkers back on, although just may need one more run. Capable mare 7. Kadanga Miss is third-up and down in weight, although five weeks between runs after missing the abandoned race here nearly three weeks back.

*RACE 5 @ 3.35pm RAPIDCLEAN CLASS 1 HCP (1200m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:
Got plenty of time for tough Muswellbrook three-year-old 1. ELUSIVE BABBZ (Aleacia Bennett/Ms Mikayla Weir; 59.5kg) who kept finishing off on a bog track at Muswellbrook second-up, and finds a weaker race here. Relishes any rain-affected ground being by dual Doncaster-winning mudlark Sacred Falls, and despite having to carry a career-high 59.5kg, she can make it two from three this prep up in distance.
*MAIN DANGERS: Exciting two-year-old filly 5. Avalicious is the immediate threat off a dominant debut win at Coonamble; while local Sidestep three-year-old 2. Knights Raptor showed a real liking for heavy ground sweeping home to win at his third start.

*RACE 6 @ 4.10pm TAB.COM.AU BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1600m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:
Full field and handy depth for this grade. Talented three-year-old provincial filly 8. ENDORPHINS (Kris Lees/Dylan Gibbons a0kg; 56.5kg) got further back than expected off a tardy start third-up at Taree, but still attacked the line late in a luckless run. Had previously swept home to win a handy maiden at Scone, and gives the impression she's much better when drawn further out. Gets a nice 2kg drop for this longer trip, and is headed for bigger targets.
*MAIN DANGERS: If ever one is ready to win again it's home track four-year-old 3. Ziggi Rocks who has been close-up in deeper races all prep, whether ridden on speed or from well back. Handles all ground and draws to get a soft run. Capable provincial mare 6. Miss Twenty Twenty has improved sharply to win her last two with a tactical change to ride her on speed. Well treated again same weight and distance and this isn't much harder. Improving three-year-old and stablemate to top selection 1. Vanbari is better suited now staying at the mile after holding his ground in a CL3 when nearly seven weeks between runs. Sound in the conditions, although goes up sharply to 61.5kg. Keep safe five-year-old Scone mare 10. Southern Cloud fourth-up after chasing home Miss Twenty Twenty here last time when rock solid in the market

Very competitive dash to finish. Super keen on three-year-old provincial filly 5. CIAO UNO (Kris Lees/Dylan Gibbons; 59.5kg) first-up behind two steady open class trials. Very good in the ground, and has a smart fresh record.
*MAIN DANGERS: Home track three-year-old filly 4. Ashre Jahre normally comes to hand early in the prep, and has been fitted with a quiet trial and a 3kg claim. Both wins from 10 starts so far have come on soft ratings. Progressive three-year-old 6. Kaufusi returns off a seven week let-up via a dominant trial win in heavy going. Smart local four-year-old 1. Rubic Honour has been given five weeks since doing his best work late in a better quality sprint here, but will need some luck from a tough draw.
