Tamworth Business Chamber's State of the State event has been rescheduled for July 30

The event is an opportunity for local businesses to get answers from Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson regarding the plans of NSW state government.

It was postponed in June due to an emerging coronavirus outbreak.

Business chamber president Stephanie Cameron said the rescheduled State of the State event would probably have less of a focus on the state government's budget, after Sydney's COVID-19 lockdowns.

"Still part of it will be a budget breakdown, so businesses know where it's at," she said.

"But I think another big part of it will be unpacking what COVID lockdowns have meant for us as a state and how businesses can seek support, if needed, over the next few weeks.

Any ticketholder who wants a reimbursement should contact the business chamber office, she said. Tickets will be held over from the earlier event. Mrs Cameron encouraged anyone interested who couldn't make the earlier date to get in touch.

The venue for the new event has yet to be determined.

The Business Chamber held a State of the City event with local government figures earlier in 2021, and will hold a State of the Nation event later this year.

Mr Anderson spent a fortnight in quarantine after becoming a casual coronavirus contact in June.
