BUSINESS NSW is launching a comprehensive new survey to work out how badly businesses have been affected by the latest COVID restrictions in regional NSW.

But it's likely to get some varied responses.
While the reinstatement of the one person per four square metre capped capacity at all outlets, many were largely unaffected.
People abided by the mandatory face mask indoors rule and continued with their day as normal.
But one industry that has been hit particularly hard, is pubs, with the mask requirement and a ban on standing and drinking seriously damaging revenue.
Courthouse Hotel second-in-charge, Dylan Smith, said they have noticed a significant difference in patronage over the past couple of weeks.
"We have been more impacted with the whole standing rule, a lot of people don't really want to be forced to sit down so unfortunately it had impacted us a little bit," he said.
He said there would be no reason not to fill out the survey, as any feedback provided could help officials develop a better understanding of how businesses are being affected, which could in turn lead to better outcomes, including support packages in the future.

This is the intention of the questionnaire according to Business NSW.
"Business NSW are seeking your response to the ongoing impact of lockdowns," it stated in an email to its members.
"This information provides vital insights that assist in the development of appropriate support for businesses."
Once current restrictions are lifted, however, Mr Smith expects patrons to return almost immediately.
"We're expecting it to bounce back straight away, as soon as that hassle of the mask and no standing is gone we are pretty confident that we are going to bounce back to normal trading."
