WESTPAC Rescue Helicopters Service teams were needed again on Saturday evening after an 83-year-old woman from Inverell suffered a serious medical condition.

The woman was transferred from Inverell Hospital via chopper to the Tamworth hospital, as she required specialised treatment.
The aircraft medical team, along with hospital staff, helped prepare the woman for the transport.

After being cared for at Tamworth hospital, she was reported to be in a stable condition.
The incident follows another rescue which occurred on Saturday afternoon, when an 83-year-old man from Ashford also had to be taken to Tamworth hospital after an accident occurred on a farm.
