New England police confirmed late on Monday that a body had been discovered in the search for Allan Anderson at Pindaroi.
Dozens of police, volunteers and locals have been scouring the area since Wednesday last week when the 65-year-old disappeared.
The body was discovered about 11am on Monday by search personnel in the Pindaroi area.

New England police said the body is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be that of the missing man.
A police spokesperson said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
Police divers joined the search on Monday for Mr Anderson, in addition to trail bike riders, drone operators, SES, RFS volunteers and New England police.
Locals have also been assisting in the operation since last Wednesday, and on Sunday, New England police contacted their counterparts interstate in Queensland and Victoria in the search effort.
Mr Anderson was last seen at a property on Pindari Dam Road in Pindaroi, about 50km north of Inverell, about 11am on Wednesday with his black and tan kelpie, 'Bet'.
Police have thanked the community for their help and said investigations are continuing.
