For over 25 years, Obieco Industries has provided the region with employment and training opportunities. These include apprenticeships in: engineering metal fabrication, engineering mechanical, auto body refinishing, auto electrical and more recently business administration traineeship.
This reputation is why Obieco was awarded 2019 Medium Employer of the Year at the NSW Training Awards and further shortlisted to be announced as top three Medium Employer of the Year at the 2019 Australian Training Awards, including being invited to become a member of the exclusive Australian VET Alumni.
Obieco's recent successes include two of their engineering metal fabrication apprentices selected to represent NSW at the 2021 WorldSkills event to be held in August in 2021. This together with Halle Steel - business administration trainee finalist and Codie Burgess - engineering metal fabrication apprentice finalist at this year's 2021 NSW Training Awards - New England Region to be held on Friday 16th June 2021.
