A photo was required in race one at Armidale - a class 1 & maiden plate (1900m) - which saw the Osland-trained Desmos lose by 0.07 lengths to Prodigal Son.

Speaking with Sky Thoroughbred Central after the race, Osland said if he could "straighten him up a bit", Equities would improve further.
"I dunno if he did it the fairest way either, he probably wanted to hang a bit there on the corner and I think he's still probably got a bit of improvement in him there," Osland said.
"He's a lovely sort of horse. He was always a big strong horse and I think he's still got a bit of improving to do. I think he'll strip fitter for the run. He was probably feeling his legs a little late but he got the job done."
Equities was having just his second run for Osland after coming to the Armidale trainer from the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stables.
It was the four-year-old's first win from seven career race starts.
Meanwhile, the second-placed Spirit Of Pluto showed plenty of promise when he flashed home in just his second start.
